Based in Toowoomba, QLD, Thompson Lane is a contemporary creative studio with one mission: to help you create a home you love to be in.

Offering local interior styling services and an online collection of artisan homewares centred around limited release ceramic collections by our founder, Cas.

We place an emphasis on pieces that go beyond the linear and transcend fast trends. This ethos guides us in everything that we do, always seeking to create and curate products and spaces that are interesting, considered and a perfect blend of form and function that can travel with you through life.

MEET CAS THOMPSON

Founder & Ceramicist

Cas’s creative journey began in 2018 and since then she has spent her time building her first ceramics brand, working across various facets of the wedding industry, freelancing in floristry and slowly renovating and styling her first home. Over this time Cas’s innate eye for considered design and styling bloomed and she was eventually led to start Thompson Lane, an amalgamation of her passions and experience.

As a self confessed homebody, Cas believes in the importance of creating spaces you love to be in by seizing the opportunity to infuse your personality and style into any interior and connecting with the items you surround yourself with.

Founded on her love of unique, artisanal homewares and a personal ethos of shopping with intention and supporting local as much as possible, Thompson Lane reflects all this and more.

We're passionate about showcasing the talents of local Australian artists and brands who put their heart and soul into their creations.

Not only do we prefer supporting our local community over big companies wherever possible, but we believe the character and story that is engrained within artisanal pieces is something that can't be found elsewhere and should be celebrated.

CONSCIOUS CONSUMERISM

We believe in the philosophy of 'buy less, buy better' and encourage our community to opt for investment pieces they truly love, opposed to being trend driven.

Focusing on quality and connection with each item brought into your space assists in creating a collection of pieces you'll cherish next season - not replace, helping both our environment and your wallet in the long run.

CONSIDERED PRODUCTION

We don't want beautiful things at the cost of the planet or its people. We take great pride in carefully selecting the makers and brands that we work with, ensuring their values and ethics align with ours.

This is just another reason we love supporting local artists — their making practices are typically much more environmentally friendly with smaller scale production, limited waste and reduced emissions from transporting goods.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge and pay our respects to the Giabal people and their connections to the land on which we live, work and play.
